ABERDARE BOWLS CLUB HISTORY -
These photo’s are from one of the older members in the bowling club. His name is Mr C Richards.
He retired from bowling in 2007.
The Aberdare Park swimming pool is in the background.
ABERDARE was the founder member of all clubs stated below.
They are all about the start of Aberaman, Harlequins and Aberdare members in 1950, before all the clubs went their own way. Mr Charles Richards is receiving a trophy in picture on left.
Comment from Robert Williams "The 2 Photos relating to Charlie Richards on this site are the Aberdare Town Bowls Club when they won the Cynon Valley League in 1957, and the 2nd photo is Trevor Forrester's widow presenting a trophy in Memory of her husband with of the Town and Park Teams around them."
